Our Process
Step 1: You need to hire our firm. There will be some forms needed to get started. Here are the forms:
Step 2: We will send you a data gathering form.
Step 3: Once we receive your data gathering form we start building your plan. We are usually ready to review your financial plan within 2-weeks.
Step 4: We present your plan. This usually takes about 2-hours.
First 30-minutes: Review the data to make sure that we captured things correctly.
Next 60-minutes: Review the reports that address your primary questions, goals and objectives. This is when you start to feel excited about this process.
Final 30-minutes: Start buttoning things up and discussing next steps. This is when you might start feeling a little tired and overwhelmed (btw, us too) because we just went over a ton of stuff.
Step 5: We prepare a financial planning summary letter that includes our analysis, observations and things we think you should consider. Give us about 2-weeks to get this out to you.
Step 6: If you only hired us to do financial planning, then we will send you an invoice (either hourly $295 or flat fee of $2,995, whatever we agreed to in step 1 above) for our services through square.com that you can pay with your credit card. If you also hired us for investment management services (or will within the next 3-months) then we will likely reduce or eliminate our financial planning fee.
Step 7: If you hired us for financial planning, then you can ask us any followup questions you can think of for the next 3-months before our agreement is complete. If you hired us for both financial planning and investment management services then any questions, analysis, updates and monitoring are ongoing and included in our assets under management fee.
